Vomit Poetry Challenge [Day 6]: if you see a crocodile don’t forget to scream

30-Day Vomit Poetry Challenge: Day 6. No stops, no deletes, no edits–just write and keep writing. Publish as it is. (I wrote this last night and forgot to publish it yesterday.)

And honestly I have no idea where this poem came from.

row, row, row your boat
gently down the street
if you see a crocodile
don’t forget to scream

scream your lungs out
the glistening reptiles shall dance to your heartbeat
the elongated nightmare, slithering logs
with glistening scales, yellow slits
glowing eerie in the dark

here it is, the swimming urban legend
coming towards you in myth’s river
you cringe, you shake, your soul aquiver

if you see a crocodile
don’t forget to, don’t forget to
