Those irrefutable tears spoke of a calamity

Heart-wide, inside

My kingdom of secrets

Every leaf contains a word, failed to be whispered

With your sand-washed voice

Every dust a quiet desperation that only

The ears of a wind could hear

Every petal a memory filled

With kisses and perfume scented skin

Every stone a soft stubbornness, a refusal

To let you go

Lying, on a white cloud, tasting the absence

Of everything that mattered

Caught in a fast-flowing current of ebony stars

Sparkling like little eyes

Like short spasms of pulsating gazes

Those eyes, watching me leave, watching me go

Watching me

Still hanging on
