明明白白我的心

From 明明白白我的心: this Chinese book I’m currently rereading.

作者: 蔡季珠

Some lines I really love:

1.

讓我捧起你的臉,拭乾你的淚;

讓我捧起你的髮,憐惜你的香;

讓我捧起你的悲,心疼你的傷;

讓我捧起你的心,分享你的情。

2.

展開生命的滑翔翼

我遇見了你

降落生命的滑翔翼

我愛上了你

共乘生命的滑翔翼

我幸有了你

The hang glider ascends to life

I meet you

The hang glider descends to life

 I fall in love with you

Two hang gliders fly side by side in life

I’m glad I have you

It’s hard to translate them into English…but they’re such beautiful lines. I read it over and over while covering my heart with my hand.

3.

給我一個愛情的標準

讓我知道,如何才能得到你的心

給我一個生活的標準

讓我知道,如何才能讓你過得更好

Give me a standard for love

So I will know, how to get to your heart

Give me a standard for life

So I will know, how to make yours better

    I think every language is poetic in its way 🙂 It’s like if you want to translate English poems into Chinese it sounds retarded because of the line breaks.

    Hahaha, all I got was the title of your post. The other words are traditional (I think?). I only do simplified, and my vocab is not so great to begin with, so yeah.

    I think Chinese is a very poetic language, though.
